What to expect at a Falcon Inspire workshop

We offer most of our workshops in a quiet neighborhood in the middle of Den Bosch, easily accessible with a 15-minute walk from the Den Bosch central station. Coming by car? Parking is free. We also have secure bike storage. We strive to create a safe and trusting environment where you can just “be.” The coffee & tea will be waiting!

A Safe and Inclusive Environment

We want you to leave your worries at the door and relax. A relaxed body and mind are in the best state to receive new sensory inputs and reconnect with your life force: your breath! While we will encourage you explore outside of your comfort zone, it’s always at your pace and never forced.

Lots of Breathing!

We breathe on average 20,000 times per day, often without giving it much thought. How we breathe is something we can consciously control; not only when we are awake, but also when we sleep. We are going to practice breathing for more energy & focus, and breathing for stress reduction & relaxation.

The Theory Behind the Practice

Our aim is not to hit you over the head with scientific jargon, but research supporting the health benefits of “better breathing” is continuing to emerge. Knowing some of the theory, combined with the sensations you feel, we hope propels you to continue your breathing journey after the workshop.
Breath is the ultimate life-giver. When we breathe, oxygen (O2) is delivered through our lungs, while carbon dioxide (CO2) flows out. There are two ways you can breathe in oxygen:
Which portal do you use and when? Do you know? What are the differences? Is one way better than the other? How does choosing how you breathe affect your nervous system? Our bodies are designed to expel it, but why is CO2 our friend? We will inspire you to find the answers in our workshops!
It’s physical, mental, spiritual, and communal – all wrapped up in a simple cold dip.
Many people are initially attracted to the WHM because they see happy people in ice baths or a freezing lake, & they are intrigued. Your first dip in the cold will test you physically; you will feel the effects of your blood traveling from the extremities to your core. It will test you mentally; It’s mind over body as you breathe steadily and tell your body to relax. It’s spiritual as you become one with the cold and live in the moment. Most important, it rekindles our tribal instinct to support each other when it’s tough, and to celebrate together as we enjoy that adrenaline and dopamine kick!

So, here is a question: Are we open and searching for the things that excite us and feel important to us? Or are we simply letting life happen to us, for better or worse? Are we approaching or avoiding? Taking the tougher road can seem daunting at first, and it’s easy to resist leaving our comfort zone.

The cold can be merciless, challenging, harsh, and painful. Yet we go into the cold and face it bravely, little by little. Our ability to face discomfort makes us psychologically stronger, as it builds resilience to stress and enhances our bravery.
The cold can teach us this shift in mindset. When we believe in our ability to face discomfort, we can withstand much more than just the cold. It helps us through the adventure of life.

The falcon is the fastest-moving creature on Earth, capable of diving at speeds of over 300km/hr. Let’s learn from the falcon! The falcon breathes through its specially designed nose: just like a human nose: made for breathing! It’s either in “fight-or-flight” or “resting.” Let’s be like falcons!

Falcon Inspire takes flight!

Falcon Inspire was founded by David Grover to provide people with that much-needed commodity: breathing space (in more ways than one!). David has been practicing the Wim Hof Method daily since 2021 and became a certified Wim Hof Method instructor in March 2023. He integrates practices such as Buteyko and resonant breathing to help make your breathing more efficient and effective.
